Steve McCorquodale is the Director of the Lee College Small Business Development Center. He started his professional business career in banking, serving as a Vice President and Loan Officer, providing him valuable experience in commercial and mortgage lending. After being in banking for 10 years, he started his own business, SDM Title Services, Inc. in Madison and Grimes County, Texas, where he was directly involved in the company’s start up and growth. While in the title insurance business, McCorquodale closed real estate and business transactions, performed title searches and was responsible for the daily operations of the business.
McCorquodale received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. He also earned a diploma from the Intermediate Banking School at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
Karina Vera is the Administrative Assistant of Lee College SBDC. She holds an AAS in office technology and an AAS in paralegal, both from Lee College. She has worked in the medical and business industry and has extensive experience with all administrative tasks. Vera is fluent in Spanish, and is motivated, dependable and confident in working to the fullest of her capacity.
