The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in partnership with the Texas Society of Enrolled Agents (TXSEA), National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP) and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will offer a full day of informative sessions for tax professionals. This panel presentation will include IRS representatives from Collections, Exams, Appeals (Exam and Collection), Criminal Investigations (CI), Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS) and Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA). Upon completion of this class, Enrolled Agents will receive Continuing Education (CE) hours. Other tax professionals may also qualify.

Highlights:

  • How to comply with the Corporate Transparency Act
  • What tax preparers are doing wrong
  • Credits and deductions under the Inflation Reduction Act
  • Working with the IRS: “What Tax Practitioners Need to Know”
  • Ethics Circular 230: Practicing “Inside the Lines”

This class is intended only for Tax Professionals. You will be asked to provide your Preparer Tax Identification Number (PRIN) when registering.

Light breakfast and lunch provided.

The SBDC reserves the right to cancel a class for insufficient enrollment, weather emergencies, and other unforeseen circumstances. Should a cancellation occur, we will use the email you provided to contact you.

Preregistration is highly recommended. If an event is canceled or postponed and you have not preregistered, we will not be able to contact you.

If you choose to register at the door, you will need your mobile device to complete your registration otherwise you will not be allowed to attend.

Satisfactory meeting room temperatures are difficult to maintain. Always bring a sweater or jacket to ensure comfort.

No children under the age of 16 are allowed in the workshop.
