Excel Basics for Small Business Owners | Sam Houston State University SBDC

In this hands-on session you will learn basic features of Excel and leave being able to create worksheets and workbooks so you can easily and quickly analyze data that is critical to the success of your organization.

Highlights:

• Basic features including, Quick Access Toolbar, Ribbon, Backstage View, Document Views, Charts, Headers, Footers and Document Setup
• How to enter, cut, copy, paste and move data, and format cells
• Save and print worksheets and workbooks
• Key functions including Undo, Redo, Find and Replace
• Using charts to analyze data

This session is intended for those interested in a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel basics. Participants should be familiar with using personal computers and experience using a keyboard and mouse.

Please Note:

No one will be admitted to computer workshops later than 10 minutes past the start time. 

This training is conducted on PC computers - MAC computers are not used.

Please do not bring your laptops as we cannot offer assistance using them and the exercises used during the workshop cannot be loaded to personal laptops. Each participant will have a PC computer to work on during the workshop.

Each person attending an event must have their own account. Multiple people may not register under one account.

The SBDC reserves the right to cancel a class for insufficient enrollment, weather emergencies, and other unforeseen circumstances. Should a cancellation occur, we will use the email you provided to contact you.

Preregistration is highly recommended. If an event is canceled or postponed and you have not preregistered, we will not be able to contact you.

If you choose to register at the door, you will need your mobile device to complete your registration otherwise you will not be allowed to attend.

Satisfactory meeting room temperatures are difficult to maintain. Always bring a sweater or jacket to ensure comfort.

No children under the age of 16 are allowed in the workshop.
