Target Audience:  The workshop is intended for anyone interested in learning how to use the Small Business Administration’s DSBS system to identify businesses to market their products and services and partner on government opportunities.

Government Area:  The material addressed in this workshop can be applied to procurement opportunities with federal, state, and local government.

Workshop Description:  DSBS was developed by the SBA as a single-point registration website for small businesses.  It is primarily used by federal, state, and local government agencies to locate contractors in various industries.  Companies can also use DSBS to locate other companies for possible teaming and subcontracting opportunities.  In this hands-on workshop we will show you how to use DSBS to research your competitors, partners, and prospects.  The class will walk you through the search features, how to segment the searches and how to customize your results.  Once you have developed results you will learn to manipulate the data and create marketing lists.  The instructor will assist each participant with searching their individual markets.

This is a hands-on workshop.   You will have a seat at a computer and will walk through the DSBS website to show you how to use it.

Learning Objective:  Upon the completion of this workshop you will have a better understanding of the purpose of DSBS and how you can use the information to market your company and identify partner companies for teaming opportunities.
