How to do Business with the State of Texas - Online

Government Area:  State of Texas procurement.  Federal and local government procurement opportunities are not addressed in this workshop.

Target Audience: This workshop is intended for individuals who want to learn how to do business with the state of Texas.

Workshop Description:  The workshop will introduce you to the tools and programs for doing business with the state of TX found on the TX Comptroller of Public Accounts State Purchasing website.  You will be introduced to the Texas Procurement and Support Services Division (TPASS) and the programs they manage:  the Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Program, the Centralized Master Bidders List, the Electronic State Business Daily, the TX Multiple Award Schedule (TXMAS) Program, and others.  Each is discussed to provide you an understanding of how they are used in Texas government procurement.  Additionally, we will introduce you to the TX Department of Information Resources who provides statewide oversight for the management of government information and communications technology.

We will walk you through the TX Comptroller of Public Accounts State Purchasing website to introduce you to their various procurement programs.

Learning Objective:  The objective of this workshop is to help you understand how to do business with TX government agencies and educate you on the various programs and websites available to assist you as you pursue state government contracts.
