Kim Way

Kim is the Director of the Houston Small Business Development Center. She is a former small business owner and has 20 years of experience working in Corporate Brand Marketing. Prior to joining the SBDC, Kim & her husband co-owned three Jersey Mike’s franchised restaurants in the Houston area. She also spent 20 years working in brand marketing for several large food companies, including General Mills, The Hershey Company, and The Coca-Cola Company. Kim’s time as a small business owner gave her experience with lending, commercial leases, franchising, retail site selection, accounting & bookkeeping, and human resources management. She attended The University of Texas at Austin, where she received both her B.S. and MBA.
