Power BI is Microsoft’s Business Intelligence Platform. This powerful tool allows you to extract valuable insights from your business data and share it with key personnel. Translating your data into useful information enables you to make better business decisions. Join us as our experienced Power BI trainer demonstrates this application and walks you through how you can start using it in your business. This is a hands-on class using Microsoft Power BI Desktop.

This class is intended for business owners and professionals who have solid experience using Microsoft Excel and want to learn how to use Power BI to manage their data.

Please Note:
No one will be admitted to computer workshops later than 10 minutes past the start time.
This training is conducted on PC computers - MAC computers are not used.
Please do not bring your laptops as we cannot offer assistance using them and the exercises used during the workshop cannot be loaded to personal laptops. Each participant will have a PC computer to work on during the workshop.
Each person attending an event must have their own account. Multiple people may not register under one account.
The SBDC reserves the right to cancel a class for insufficient enrollment, weather emergencies, and other unforeseen circumstances. Should a cancellation occur, we will use the email you provided to contact you.
Preregistration is highly recommended. If an event is canceled or postponed and you have not preregistered, we will not be able to contact you.
If you choose to register at the door, you will need your mobile device to complete your registration otherwise you will not be allowed to attend.
Satisfactory meeting room temperatures are difficult to maintain. Always bring a sweater or jacket to ensure comfort.
No children under the age of 16 are allowed in the workshop.
Only service animals allowed - If you need to bring a service animal with you to a workshop please contact us ahead of time.

Dr. Leezet Llorance
Dr. Leezet Llorance is an information technology professional with broad experience as a developer, Oracle ERP and SAP Administration consultant, and Business Intelligence technical manager. Her career includes independent consulting, service as a Senior Analyst in Analytics and Institutional Research at the Lone Star College System Office, and leadership roles in higher education. Her current interests center on using data science to deliver actionable insights by combining mathematics, computer science, and applied disciplines. She brings experience in both corporate training and academic teaching and currently teaches in the Data Analytics program at Lone Star College–University Park.
