Receive quick and easy tips for writing your business plan and recommendations from an expert on how to use your plan to obtain financing, focus ideas, identify specific business objectives, and chart and manage growth. Each participant will receive a Small Business Guidebook.

This class is intended for anyone who is interested in laying out a realistic plan for their new business idea as well as existing business owners who want to define their business operations for funding purposes or to share with their employees.

Each person attending an event must have their own account. Multiple people may not register under one account.
The SBDC reserves the right to cancel a class for insufficient enrollment, weather emergencies, and other unforeseen circumstances. Should a cancellation occur, we will use the email you provided to contact you.
Preregistration is highly recommended. If an event is canceled or postponed and you have not preregistered, we will not be able to contact you.
If you choose to register at the door, you will need your mobile device to complete your registration otherwise you will not be allowed to attend.
Satisfactory meeting room temperatures are difficult to maintain. Always bring a sweater or jacket to ensure comfort.
No children under the age of 16 are allowed in the workshop.
Only service animals allowed - If you need to bring a service animal with you to a workshop please contact us ahead of time.

Kim Way
Kim is the Director of the Houston Small Business Development Center. She is a former small business owner and has 20 years of experience working in Corporate Brand Marketing. Prior to joining the SBDC, Kim & her husband co-owned three Jersey Mike’s franchised restaurants in the Houston area. She also spent 20 years working in brand marketing for several large food companies, including General Mills, The Hershey Company, and The Coca-Cola Company. Kim’s time as a small business owner gave her experience with lending, commercial leases, franchising, retail site selection, accounting & bookkeeping, and human resources management. She attended The University of Texas at Austin, where she received both her B.S. and MBA. |
