For business owners, effective networking isn’t just about handing out business cards — it’s about building meaningful relationships that drive growth, referrals, and new opportunities. This practical session will show you how to network strategically to expand your customer base, find new partners, and strengthen your reputation in your community and industry. After the formal part of the presentation, there will be an hour set aside to practice your newly acquired skills with other class participants. Preregistration is highly recommended. If an event is canceled or postponed and you have not preregistered, we will not be able to contact you.

If you choose to register at the door, you will need your mobile device to complete your registration otherwise you will not be allowed to attend.

Satisfactory meeting room temperatures are difficult to maintain. Always bring a sweater or jacket to ensure comfort.

No children under the age of 16 are allowed in the workshop.

Only service animals allowed - If you need to bring a service animal with you to a workshop please contact us ahead of time.

Marsha Lynn Hudson

Marsha Lynn Hudson is an online marketing strategist and leadership trainer. She has been teaching and training for the UH SBDC since 2015. Marsha Lynn Hudson is a former Professor of Literature who has taught at Wharton County Jr. College for 22 years. Marsha also taught at the University of Phoenix, and she was an adjunct instructor at the University of Houston-Downtown and Letourneau University. Marsha has a B.S. degree in Professional Writing, an M.S. degree in Literature and an EdS degree in Teacher Leadership from Walden University.

As a trainer, speaker, and coach, Marsha enjoys teaching entrepreneurs and business owners how to build their brands and grow their businesses online. Marsha is the author of “Crushing Barriers: Succeeding in Life and Business” and “Unleash Your Inner Leader: Excelling in Business and Career” among a host of other eBooks. Marsha is an online creator and offers mini-courses, digital products, and memberships.
