Part 3 of 4: Worker Classification & Calculating Withholding

This session will discuss employer responsibilities when hiring workers, whether they are classified as employees or independent contractors. It includes how to identify wages subject to employment taxes, how to manage payroll and calculate withholding, and how to distinguish between accountable and non-accountable reimbursement plans. It will also cover federal unemployment tax requirements.

This session is designed for small business owners who are currently hiring or considering hiring employees or contractors and want to ensure tax compliance.

Lunch provided. Registration for all four sessions is highly encouraged but not required.

Satisfactory meeting room temperatures are difficult to maintain. Always bring a sweater or jacket to ensure comfort.

No children under the age of 16 are allowed in the workshop.
