The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) - Stakeholder Liaison, in partnership with the Texas Society of Enrolled Agents (TXSEA), Texas Chapter - National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP), and the Texas Small Business Development Centers (SBDC), will offer a full day of informative sessions for Tax Professionals and Tax Preparers focused on IRS processes, compliance updates, and policy changes. This panel presentation will include IRS representatives from IRS-Collection, IRS- Exam, Criminal Investigation (CI), Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS), Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA), and IRS Appeals with an opportunity to ask questions.
During this session, you will also hear from guest speaker Erick Alejandro Barreat, Technologist & Compliance Specialist for SMBs and Founder of EB DevTech, who will share insights on the critical role of a Written Information Security Plan (WISP) in protecting your business and maintaining compliance.

This annual event is designed for Enrolled Agents, CPAs, and tax professionals who want to stay ahead of compliance, policy changes, and IRS processes. CE hours are available for Enrolled Agents; other tax professionals may also qualify.
Please be prepared to provide your Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) when registering if you are interested in receiving CE credit. On the day of the event, you will also be asked to provide your PTIN number and sign in and out to receive up to seven hours of CE credit.

The SBDC reserves the right to cancel a class for insufficient enrollment, weather emergencies, and other unforeseen circumstances. Should a cancellation occur, we will use the email you provided to contact you.
Preregistration is highly recommended. If an event is canceled or postponed and you have not preregistered, we will not be able to contact you.
If you choose to register at the door, you will need your mobile device to complete your registration otherwise you will not be allowed to attend.
Satisfactory meeting room temperatures are difficult to maintain. Always bring a sweater or jacket to ensure comfort.
No children under the age of 16 are allowed in the workshop.
