Join us as an Intellectual Property attorney shares with you how to optimize protection of your business, and you personally, with copyrights. She will address actions to take to steer clear of copyright violations, and if accused, some defensive steps to take. She will also discuss available to certain qualified individuals or businesses.

  • A copyright owner’s rights under U.S. Copyright Law
  • Why and when to register copyrights
  • Who owns copyrights and how to transfer some, or all, rights 
  • Defensive maneuvers

Target audience:

This interactive class is designed for individuals, including authors, photographers and small business owners who want to maximize their options under U.S. Copyright Law while minimizing their risks of liability for violating another’s copyrights. Particular attention will be given to copyright issues in electronic media, including the internet.

If you choose to register at the door you will need your mobile device so you can use it to complete your registration otherwise you will not be allowed to attend.  

Satisfactory meeting room temperatures are difficult to maintain.  Always bring a sweater or jacket to ensure comfort.

No children under the age of 16 are allowed in the workshop.

Only service animals allowed - If you need to bring a service animal with you to a workshop please contact us ahead of time.
