Getting the Most out of Microsoft® Outlook® Email

Mail is the most feature rich module of Microsoft® Outlook® yet most users are familiar with only its basic uses. This hands on session will show you built-in shortcuts and time saving techniques you can use every single day.  You’ll receive at least ten email management techniques that will allow you to spend more time being productive.  

Walk away knowing - 

• Strategies for managing day to day information that comes in via email

• How to consistently meet deadlines 

• Methods for working proactively  

• Ways to automate routine tasks freeing up time for critical tasks

 

Target Audience:

This class is designed for people who use Microsoft® Outlook® Mail 2013 or 2106 on a regular basis and want to learn to better manage their email by learning more advanced features.

 

Prerequisites:

Attendees should have experience using Microsoft® Outlook® Mail 2013 or Microsoft® Outlook® Mail 2016 for at least one year and have fundamental Outlook navigation skills. 
Additionally, attendees should be familiar with:

Basic functions of Mail such as sending and receiving emails and creating folders
Opening and closing popup windows in Mail
Copying and pasting information

Please Note:

The Houston Center SBDC reserves the right to cancel a class if sufficient enrollment is not met.  
No one will be admitted to computer workshops later than 10 minutes past the start time. 
This training is conducted on PC computers - MAC computers are not used.
Please do not bring your laptops as we cannot offer assistance using them and the exercises used during the workshop cannot be loaded to personal laptops. Each participant will have a PC computer to work on during the workshop.
Satisfactory meeting room temperatures are difficult to maintain.  Always bring a sweater or jacket to ensure comfort.
No children under the age of 16 are allowed in the workshop.
Only service animals allowed - If you need to bring a service animal with you to a workshop please contact us ahead of time.
