The Department of Labor recently finalized a new rule on salary requirements for exempt employees. The new rule raises the minimum amount salaried exempt employees are paid. During this session you will find out what you need to do to comply so that you are not subject to penalties and potential litigation. Join us on January 15, as our trainer explains the new law, how it applies to your business, and steps to take to be in compliance.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Methods to handle the new law
  • Updates to consider
  • Penalty and potential liability issues
  • Choices that need to be made due to the new rule

During this session the trainer will not answer any questions or give a legal opinion on your specific situation.  The law regarding the topic will be explained and general questions regarding the law will be answered.  If you need a referral to a qualified Houston area attorney please contact the University of Houston Legal Aid Clinic at 713.743.2094.
