Bernie’s Burger Bus started in 2010 right here in Houston and quickly became an overnight success. Their “cooking from scratch” philosophy and way of making people feel special definitely paid off. While operating solely as a food truck operation Bernie’s Burger Bus was listed as one of the “Best Food Trucks in the Country” and even today is consistently voted the BEST Burger in Houston.
With a desire to grow the business, Justin Turner, the brains behind Bernie’s Burger Bus, knew he had to transition from a mobile operation to brick and mortar. So in 2014 he opened his first store, right in the heart of Bellaire, one of Houston’s premier areas. Just one year later Justin opened a second location, this time in Katy. And if all goes well a third location, this time in the Heights, will open in 2017.
Join us as Justin shares his story of growing his business from the ground up, including how he has differentiated himself in a very competitive food scene, found the funding for his expanding operations, and developed his very own “secret sauce” recipe for business success.
