Seeing your product on store shelves is a dream for many. Whether you have a specialty food item, homemade soap or lotion, unique clothing, or even children’s toys the process is virtually the same. You have to get your product into the hands of your customers. In this session you will hear from a Houston entrepreneur who has achieved success in product placement by cracking the code! She will share with you her insight into what it takes.

Part of the workshop will also help you match your expectations with reality. You’ll examine whether you want your venture to be a part time hobby, a full-fledge business, or maybe just a dream that is more fun remaining a dream. Our speaker will  walk you through the advantages of keeping your day job while testing the waters, show you how to figure out if you have enough capital to do a product launch, and ask you to consider factors that your family and friends don’t have the nerve to even bring up.

Additional topics for discussion:

  • Liability insurance – do you need it, how to get it and the cost
  • Shelf space – how to get your product placed and at what cost
  • Free fill – what is it and how should you negotiate for it
  • Off shelf promotions – what they are and strategies for using them
  • Brand awareness – how to generate it for quick shelf turn
  • UPC codes – what’s required and at what cost
  • Plus much more!
