Bob Barragan has been the SBDC Director at Sam Houston State University for the past 26 years.   He is also an adjunct Professor teaching Small Business Management Classes for the College of Business Administration, Sam Houston State University.  Bob obtained a BBA and MBA from Wichita State University; he also served in the U. S. Army as an intelligence officer reaching the rank of Major.  Barragan is a past business owner and speaks Spanish fluently.  He is also a CGBP (Certified Global Business Advisor) and completed the Technology Commercialization certification course offered by the University of Houston. 



Kim McLerran has been a Business Advisor for the Sam Houston State University Small Business Development Center in Huntsville since 2009.  She has a BBA from SHSU and has obtained certificates of numerous trainings, in various fields with hands on experience in the business, legal, real estate and education industries.  She has resided in the Huntsville area since 1996 and has personal business experiences in the cattle and land management industries. McLerran is a community and chamber volunteer. 




Lori Logan
, Business Advisor and Training and Events Coordinator at Sam Houston State University SBDC has served in this position since March 2012.  She obtained her BBA and MBA from SHSU with emphasis in Management and Accounting. 

Logan is a previous business owner and manager of operations and has extensive overall financial and management experience with several family-owned businesses including a donut shop, full-service and automatic car wash, retail, landscaping and dozer businesses.  Lori is a CGBP (Certified Global Business Advisor) and QuickBooks ProAdvisor.  She has served as a controller, payroll manager and auditor in previous positions at a plant nursery, higher education and county government.  Logan serves in the Huntsville Lion’s Club and volunteers with the local chamber, community organizations and local church.


Elizabeth Bello is the administrative associate for Sam Houston State University SBDC in Huntsville, Texas. In this position, she provides administrative assistance for the SHSU SBDC director and advisors.  Bello joined SHSU SBDC in 2014. Prior to her position, she served as an administrative assistant with Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home for five years.
