Join us as an Intellectual Property attorney shares with you how to optimize protection of your business, and you personally, with copyrights.  She will address actions to take to steer clear of copyright violations, and if accused, some defensive steps to take. She will also discuss pro bono programs available to certain qualified individuals or businesses.

  • Why and when to register copyrights
  • Who owns copyrights and how to transfer some, or all, rights 
  • Defensive maneuvers

Target audience:

This interactive class is designed for individuals, including authors, photographers and small business owners who want to maximize their options under U.S. Copyright Law while minimizing their risks of liability for violating another’s copyrights. Particular attention will be given to copyright issues in electronic media, including the internet.
