Target Audience:  This workshop is intended for individuals who want to sell their products and services to the Federal Government by understanding how to use FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) to conduct market research and locate opportunities.

Workshop Description:  Conducting market research and locating government opportunities takes an understanding of how to research the agencies that have historically purchased your products and services; as well as, knowing how to locate current and future opportunities.  Federal Business Opportunities (aka FedBizOpps and FBO) is a website you can use to find the information.
In this workshop, you will have a seat at a computer and we will show you how to use FedBizOpps to conduct market research to locate the Federal Government agencies that have purchased your products and services in the past; as well as, show you how to locate current and future opportunities.  You will learn how to use the Advance Search feature to conduct a one-time search to locate historical purchase information.  We will also show you how to set up Search Agents, a feature of FedBizOpps that allows you to create saved searches, so that you receive automated email notices of current and future opportunities.

Learning Objective:  Our objective is to teach you how to use FedBizOpps as a market research tool to locate historical purchases and to understand how to put the system to work for you by setting up Search Agents to receive automated email notices.
