The Essential 9: What Everyone Should Know About Using Their Computer

8/10/2010
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Location: UH SBDC, 2302 Fannin, Suite 200

Registration is no longer available.

If you read the Houston Chronicle Computing column on December 1st, 2009 you might have identified with it. As the article suggests, many of us know what we know when it comes to using our computer but not much beyond. Rarely do we venture outside the boundaries even though we are very adept at what we do. That’s fine until you come across an issue that’s easily fixed but you can’t fix it because you lack some basic knowledge.

Don’t miss this chance to learn hands-on the nine essential skills everyone should know.

Highlights include:

  • Files and navigation
  • What things are called
  • Mouse and keyboard
  • Basic Hardware
  • How to get online
  • How to search
  • Security
  • How to get help
  • Program basics
