Target audience:

This workshop is ideal for any entrepreneur working towards opening a small (10,000 sq. ft. or less) brick and mortar retail establishment and is selling a tangible product rather than a service only establishment.   


Presenter:

Douglas Baumann is the Retail Business Advisor for the UH Bauer College SBDC.  He has over 20 years of experience managing both big box national outlet stores as well as small specialty boutiques.  Doug uses this experience to perform in-depth analysis of product assortments and margins.  With a carefully planned marketing strategy, margin analysis and proficient inventory practices, Doug will evaluate and make recommendations for a wide variety of retail businesses.  He will also review freight flow planning and back room organization in order to evaluate and further recommend cost control methods and growth tactics.  Doug holds a BBA in Marketing from Texas A&M University and is a Certified Global Business Professional.
