By now virtually everyone has heard of Gallery Furniture’s 2014 Super Bowl promotion. The promotion where the owner, Jim McIngvale bet every customer who purchased at least $6,000 in furniture within the two weeks before the Super Bowl and had it delivered by 5 p.m. on game day that if the Seattle Seahawks beat the Denver Broncos, he would repay them every dollar and let them keep the furniture. A promotion that ended up costing him $7 million! Was it worth it?
